an experienced interdisciplinary researcher and policy advisor.
a PhD candidate in Geography at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.

 interested in bringing together science and practice to address global challenges.
excited about (and grateful for past) opportunities to work with passionate and capable people.

my work.

Since 2019, I've been pursuing my PhD under the supervision of
​Prof. Dr. Sabine Fuss and Prof. Dr. 
‪Jonas Ø. Nielsen and exploring the use of systematic methodologies to (1) understand enabling factors for natural climate solutions and nature-based solutions and (2) advance strategic policy and implementation.

From 2016 - 2021, I worked as a consultant for the think tank, Climate Focus,
before transitioning to an associate role ​to focus on my doctoral research. During that time I led projects on forests & agriculture, sustainability, and climate change.
Past projects include:

Enhancing NDCs for food systems
Progress on the New York Declaration on Forests 
Clients included the Meridian Institute, World Bank, Climate and Land Use Alliance, Tropical Forest Alliance, WWF, Government of Germany (BMU/IKI).

My professional and academic work has spanned a number of topics including: 

Land use and environmental governance and policy planning, including around forests and REDD+.

Enhancement of natural ecosystems and carbon sinks for climate mitigation, co-benefits, and adaptation linkages.
Linking of social science methods with large-scale and integrated assessment models.
Effective approaches for sustainable agricultural supply chains and food systems transformation.
